Payless Privacy Policy

Introduction

All aboard!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls – welcome toPayless Mini Split, a service (you could also call it a website, or just a site if you’re cool like that) owned and operated by Payless Mini Split LLC. All this is just to say that we abide by all of the lovely laws in place, both in the state of Florida and in the good ol’ U.S. of A as a whole.

Now that you know who we are, it is important for you (and when we say “you, we mean YOU, our wonderful customer) to understand our company’s Privacy Policy (and when we say “company,” it is in reference to us, Payless Mini Split).

It is very important for you to read this Privacy Policy very, very carefully so that you understand what exactly we are doing with your personal information. This Privacy Policy extends to every single web page on which it has been reprinted. By using our website, you are henceforth giving us your explicit permission to collect and use your personal data in the ways that we will describe shortly.

What Do We Collect?

  1. The Information You Give Us On Your Own Accord (no, not your Honda)

When you come to our site, ask us questions, set up an account, order something, or subscribe to our email list, you are providing us with several pieces of personal information; namely, your name, your phone number, and your email address.

You might also be asked to give us your payment information when making a purchase through our site. However, just know that we will never store any of this, as all of the payment stuff is collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor.

Now, you can totally refuse to give us any personal information at all, and that’s cool, but just know that doing so may make it a lot harder to actually use our website. Also, in the future (so don’t worry about it just yet), we might ask you to give us more information. If and when this happens, we will be sure to update this here Privacy Policy to reflect the changes.

You’ll be the first to know.

  • Automatically Acquired Information

There are some things we can find out about you without you telling us. Don’t let that creep you out though; we aren’t doing it on purpose or anything. These things are collected automatically through cookies, web beacons, and other fancy forms of technology.

This includes your IP address, your browser type (or version), all the places you check out when you visit our website, and the time and date of your trip up here.

What Do You Need That For?

Well, for a lot of stuff, including (but not limited to):

  • Serving You Like The King (or Queen) You Are

We wouldn’t be able to help you place orders or answer any of your questions without taking a look at some details about you first.

  • Contacting You If We Need To

If we need to reach out to you for any reason at all, we’re going to need your contact information to do so. Your contact information is, of course, personal information.

  • Taking Care Of Your Warranty Claims

When you make a warranty claim, we have to check to see which product/purchase the claim is in reference to. So, yeah, we will need it for this as well.

  • Maintaining Our Accounts

When we aren’t providing you with awesome products and services, we are doing a whole lot of boring accounting stuff. To do this stuff, we need to use your information (for our records, of course).

  • Keeping You In The Loop

If you have an account on our wonderful website, we might send you emails from time to time, just to let you know of any changes we make to this here privacy policy, as well as to any other terms you’ve previously agreed, or maybe just to say hey.

  • Enhancing The Experience

We want you to actually enjoy your stay here at our website; this is why we need to use your data (along with data from all of our users) to make sure everything is in tip-top shape over here. Don’t worry, though- it’s all anonymous!

  • Sending You Newsletters

If you’re subscribed to our newsletter, well, then, the only way we can get it to you is by using your personal information!

And if, for some reason, you’d like to unsubscribe (awww…), simply click that little unsubscribe link at the bottom of our email or give us a shout at info@paylessminisplit.com

Remember, we will NEVER sell your personally identifiable information to ANY third party for commercial gain (with the exception of a merger or acquisition taking place, in which case, it’s more of a logistical thing than a way to make a buck off your data)

Sharing Is Caring (Sometimes, That Is)

While we won’t be selling your information to any third (or fourth, or fifth) parties, we may share it with them so that they can help us with our website.

Additionally, we might also share your personal information with our service providers so they can use it to see how you all are interacting with our site (we’re cool again); that being said, we will take every step to ensure that these people are held to the same privacy standards that we are, and will never let them share your information with a single soul (except for us, of course).

Following The Rules

Now, of course, if we are under investigation or have some sort of legal obligation we need to take care of that requires us to disclose your personal information, we will have to do so. We’re not going to break the law or anything; however, we will only do this if it is a reasonable request coming from a legitimate authority, such as government or law enforcement officials.

The Way The Cookie Crumbles

We have to admit that we do love us some cookies.

But these ain’t the kind you dip in milk (you might break your laptop if you try to do that)

These cookies are little tiny files that we use to identify you as a unique user. Your personal information is not tied to these files.

When we send you cookies, they are stored on your hard drive. You always have the option to decline all of these cookies, and can have your browser let you know when you are being sent cookies. If you do choose to decline our cookies, it’s fine, we won’t be mad or anything (they are pretty tasty, though) – just know that you might not have complete access to all of our services, since these cookies are used in improving the user experience.

There are two types of cookies we use: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are deleted from your hard drive as soon as you leave our website. Persistent cookies, on the other hand, stay on your hard drive for a little bit longer, and you have to get rid of them yourself if you want them to go away quicker.

Remember, you don’t have to accept cookies if you don’t want to. We understand that many of you are very health conscious.

Visit www.allaboutcookies.org to learn more about cookies and how they work.

Staying Safe

While we will always strive to protect your personal information at all costs, using all of the best data security practices available to us and our industry, it is possible that (at some point) our software or hardware may become compromised. They are vulnerable, after all. This is why we cannot 100% guarantee you complete security.

But we will try our best!

The Other Guys

Throughout our website, there are links to various third parties that we do not own or operate. These third parties have their own privacy policies in place that we did not write. We would strongly suggest thumbing through those before spending too much time on their websites, so you are aware of what you’re getting yourself into. We can only tell you what we are going to do with your data, and can’t make any promises about the other guys.

We are not responsible for anything these guys do with your information. You use their services at your own risk. Be aware of the risks; read through their policies, thoroughly.

Think Of The Children!

This website is for people aged thirteen or above; if you’re younger than that, scram!

Seriously, don’t let your kids mess around here. If you believe that your child has given us personally identifiable information that you would like to have removed, let us know immediately, and we will delete it from our database and our servers ASAP.

Them Changes

As we’ve mentioned already, we might change this policy from time to time. If we do that, we will let you know, and you can also see when this policy was last updated by checking the date at the top. We recommend reviewing this policy regularly, so that you remain in the loop. Any changes we make will be in effect as soon as they show up here.

Know Your Rights!

You have the right to access any and all of the information you’ve given us at any time, and to update and edit it as you see fit in order to ensure that it reflects your current state of being. However, just know that we will need to verify that it’s you who is requesting this information, so don’t be surprised if we start asking you some personal questions. This is all done to protect you.

We will only hold onto your data as long as we need to in order to serve you and resolve any issues you may have. After that, we won’t keep peeking at it. Out of sight, out of mind.

If you would like to access your personal information, send us an email (at the address provided below) with “personal information” written somewhere in the subject line. We’ll get the message.
